Richard D. "Rick" Kern, Jr. is President of Kern Motor Co., Inc., and his Partner, Henry P. "Took" Kern, III, are second-generation Dealers. He is proud that this dealership has remained in the Kern Family since l946. Rick's son, Trey and daughter, Liz are following in his footsteps as Managers at Kern Motor Company. Rick's career spans over 30 years and he is proud of the awards Kern Motor Co. has earned in that time period. He was elected by his fellow GM Dealers to serve on GMC Trucks National Dealer Council. Rick was elected by the Northern Virginia District Two Dealers to represent them for nine straight years on the Board of Directors of the Virginia Auto Dealers Association. He has served as President of the Winchester Auto Dealers Association and is currently on Jeep's Washington Ad Association Board of Directors. Anyone that knows the Kern Family knows their passion for football. Rick is currently on the Shenandoah University Athletic Board and is a past Board Member of the Judges Athletic Association. He served as Commissioner and a Board Member for eleven years for Winchester/Frederick County Youth Football. Rick is very proud to have joined his father, "Dick" when he was elected to the Handley High School Hunter Maddox Hall of Fame. Rick and his cousin, Henry "Took" Kern have adopted the same values laid down by their fathers', Dick and Henry Kern for both Kern Motor Co. and Kern Toyota - TREAT EVERY CUSTOMER WITH HONESTY, INTEGRITY AND SERVICE AFTER THE SALE.
